i have a question, which i tried to find the answer to, for past several hours but with no success.
So my question is:
Is there a way to make the openfire server to authenticate users through Samba PDC server (withou LDAP)?
My background:
I manage mixed environment of Rhel 5/6, AiX and Windows 7/8 workstations with Rhel 6 servers as background (and some Appl Windows servers).
Users are verified through Samba PDC (if on Windows workstation) or though NIS (if on Linux / Unix workstation).
I have one server running both: Samba PDC and NIS server, now i installed Openfire server there too and now i would like to get users authenticated through Samba PDC.
Samba has pwds stored in /etc/samba/passdb.tdb file - is there any way to get those credential from there to Openfire?
